Canberra Day celebrates the founding of Canberra. It falls on the second weekend in March. There are usually celebration events held throughout the day. The Enlighten Festival overlaps with Canberra Day which makes it a perfect time to visit the city.
Will There be a Queen’s Birthday Holiday in Canberra 2023?
Yes, but it will most likely be known as the King’s Birthday holiday from now on. Other states have already made that change but we’re not aware of Canberra changing the public holiday so far.
